The Vimy Peak in Waterton Lakes National Park is a popular hiking destination that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The park is open year-round, but the best time to visit is between May and September when the hiking trails are accessible. The park entrance fee is $10 CAD per person per day or $20 CAD per person for an annual pass.
To access the Vimy Peak trail, visitors can park at the Red Rock Canyon parking lot and follow the Carthew-Alderson Trail for approximately 6.5 km. The trail is rated as moderate to difficult and takes around 4-6 hours to complete roundtrip. The trailhead opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM.
